"All Because of You (Live from Chicago)" - U2
“All Because of You” was released as the fourth single from “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” in Europe, Australia, Japan and the UK. At the time of its release, U2 was also getting ready to release the DVD “Vertigo 2005: Live in Chicago”. To promote both releases, a live version of “All Because of You” taken from the DVD release was released exclusively through the iTunes music store in the UK. It was only available in the UK, and was not released in other iTunes stores worldwide.
The version of “All Because of You” is 3:44 in length, and is different from the edit found on the DVD at 4:02 in length. The 3:44 version is also found on the “U2 Live: Vertigo 2005” promotional CD, which was released in the UK to promote the DVD. There are fades at the start and end of the track that is 3:44 on both the release through iTunes in the UK, as well as the release on the “U2 Live: Vertigo 2005” promotional CD.
The embedded cover for this single is the same as the commercial single for “All Because of You”.
Although commonly labelled as being from May 9, 2005, the DVD “Vertigo 2005: Live from Chicago” is actually a mix from the May 9, 2005 show, and the show the next night, May 10, 2005. The performance of “All Because of You” found here is taken from the May 10, 2005 show. It is the same night that is featured on the DVD, as well as on the “U2 Live: Vertigo 2005” promotional CD.
