Background Information

This promotional CD was pressed in the UK, and released to the European market close to the release of the album “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb”. The disc was packaged in regular jewel case, and contained unique artwork for the promotional release.

The interview disc featured a variety of questions about the albums and the songs on the album, and contained the band’s answers to these questions. Participating in the interview are Adam Clayton, Bono and The Edge. No mention is made of Larry Mullen being absent. There was no music featured on the release.

The CD was numbered U2PRO3, which was one in a series of catalog numbers for releases from “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb”. These other numbers included U2PRO1 for the “Vertigo” CD and U2PRO2 for the “Vertigo” 7-Inch. U2PRO4 was the CD for “Sometimes You Can’t Make it On Your Own”. U2PRO5 was the “Vertigo: Live from Chicago” promotional CD, and U2PRO6 was the final promotional single from the album, “Original of the Species”. All of these promos were pressed in the UK.
