- "Magnificent " (Dave Audé Club Remix) - U2 (07:33)
Dave Audé is a producer, DJ and remixer who was approached by U2 to remix the song “Magnificent” for the single of the same name. The collaboration resulted in four remixes that are known: “Magnificent (Dave Audé Club Mix)”, “Magnificent (Dave Audé Club Dub Mix)”, “Magnificent (Dave Audé Instrumental)” and “Magnificent (Dave Audé Radio Edit)”. Prior to any of these mixes being released by U2, Dave Audé shared two mixes of the track through the website eventvibe.com (now removed). The tracks could be downloaded or streamed with ease. The two mixes available at eventvibe.com were “Magnificent (Dave Audé Club Mix)” and “Magnificent (Dave Audé Radio Edit)”. These tracks were first available on May 1, 2009, just days before the single would be released in the UK.
The Dave Audé remixes of the track “Magnificent” feature a slightly different vocal track than the version that appears on the “No Line on the Horizon” album including an alternate line, “Your white soul has left my heart black and blue”.
The Dave Audé remixes would appear on various singles for “Magnificent”. The 10-track USA single would contain the “Dave Audé Club Mix”, and the “Dave Audé Club Dub Remix”. The “Dave Audé Club Mix” would also feature on the five track remix single released in North America through iTunes. The “Dave Audé Instrumental Mix” would appear on the 14-track masterbeat.com single along with the other two previous mentioned mixes. With the release of multiple singles for “Magnificent” the “Dave Audé Radio Edit” was not released elsewhere, and was made available only through eventvibe.com. It was not released on any of the “Magnificent” singles, nor was it part of the 14-track single released through masterbeat.com.
