Background Information
The film version of “Ordinary Love” featured in the movie “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” is different than any of the versions released in audio format. The version in the film has a different ending which includes an outro with the line “tough enough” being repeated three times, making it distinct from the promotional versions, the version found on the soundtrack, or the Epworth version.
The audio on the US release on DVD is a little odd. The Dolby 5.1 English track has a serious imbalance in the mix between the left front and the right front channels. It also has a Spanish language track in Dolby 2.0 but there is some narration over the intro to the song. The Canadian DVD has Dolby 5.1 English and French tracks. The same channel imbalance is present in the English track, however the French language track does not have this imbalance.
The DVD version of the song is the version of the song that was heard in theatres.
