Rocktropolis (1998-02-15)

U2 is going to be starting up an underground dance label called Kitchen
Records, which is named after their Dublin club The Kitchen, says a
spokesperson for the group’s management firm, Principle Management.

Frontman Bono and his longtime friend, Reggie Mannuel, will oversee the
label’s A&R duties and Mannuel will be in charge of day-to-day operations

According to the Dublin version of the England’s The Star, Kitchen Records is
going to specialize in vinyl releases for DJs, and it is rumoured that the
label’s first release will be from Francois, a regular DJ at the act’s
club. The Principle spokesperson couldn’t confirm what the first release
will be or that the label will indeed specialize in vinyl.
