Background Information
“If I Could Live My Life Again” is a title of a song worked on by Bono in the early stages of development for No Line on the Horizon.
Bono spoke with writer Michka Assayas in December 2005 and that conversation became the book Bono In Conversation with Michka Assayas. The initial version of the book came out in early 2006, but in July 2006 a soft cover version was released with extra material. In that additional material Bono spoke about this song which he had just begun work on. Bono claimed the song was inspired by the Argentinian poet Jorge Luis Borges. To date, no song has been released with that title.
