Background Information
Bono co-wrote the song “Angels for Each Other” with Garrix, Singh, as well as Simon Carmody, Shaun Farrugia, Michel Zitron, and Juno. He also urged Garrix to try his hand at recording his own music, instead of using guest vocalists. Garrix shared with De 538 Middagshow, “Bono helped with my singing technique, with breathing, and with lyrics. I’ve worked with him and The Edge a lot. And also recorded a lot of demos. And he’s been pushing for 3 to 4 years for me to release a song with my own vocals.” He also shared, “The lyrics are very poetic and that is partly thanks to him.”
This is a digital release, including streaming, and downloads. High resolution available at 24-bit, 44.1kHz, as is a Dolby Atmos mix on streaming services. The single was released on March 13, 2025.
A video for the song directed by Mathias Normann and Damian Karsznia was made available on March 17, 2025. It features Martin Garrix and Arijit Singh performing the song together in India at a show at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on March 14 during Holi, the festival of colours. Leading up to the full release of the song Garrix also showed a number of in-progress videos of the song showing him and Singh working on the track.
In North America the song was sent out for radio promotion on March 24, 2025. It was the same edit used for the promotional delivery as is available on streaming services.
