Background Information
To thank employees at Island Records for their work on the Pop and PopMart campaign, a very limited number of promotional cassettes were given out containing a single track, labeled “Do You Feel Loved” (Live from Las Vegas). The track is a slightly edited version of the song as it was performed the night the PopMart tour opened on April 25, 1997. A brief five second piece of “Pop Muzik” as played over the PA at shows is heard over the start of the track before the live performance of “Do You Feel Loved” begins.
The song was recorded and mixed, and transferred via DAT to London, where the promotional cassettes were produced by Chop Em Out. These cassettes were sent with a simple text sleeve featuring the Island Records logo in blue. On at least two copies, hand written notes were also on the paper inserts, thanking the recipient for the No 1 Single, or thanking them for their work on the tour. These cassettes were circulated in small numbers.
