Background Information

Digital single released from How to Re-Assemble an Atomic Bomb on October 24, 2024. Links to find “Happiness” on various music services can be found here.

“Happiness” is the second single from How to Re-Assemble an Atomic Bomb, with the first single having been a double A-Side, “Country Mile” / “Picture of You (X+W)”. The single was released on commercial services as a one track digital single, featuring the artwork from the album. On services where it is possible to pre-order the album (such as iTunes), the single is not released, and the track was made available as part of the album release instead.

The song was premiered via Apple Music on Zane Lowe’s show. Adam Clayton and The Edge also spoke to Lowe about the new album.

The song was also released to radio on the same day, and a lyric video for the song was also released. On Spotify, where the release is a stand-alone single, animated images of the atomic bomb are shown while you stream the song, using animation from the video. On October 24, the single on Spotify was the one-track version of the single, however, on September 26, it was combined with the “Country Mile” / “Picture of You (X+W)” single as a new three track single under the title “Happiness”. These have not been combined at other services at this time.
