Background Information

“New Songs and Mixes from The Best of 1990 – 2000” was a promotional release in the UK in November of 2002. The five-track sampler was used for promotion of the release of “The Best of 1990 – 2000”. The artwork on this release is very simple. The CD itself is white with black text. The cover is silver in colour and features just the title across the front in black text. The design of this promotional release is very similar in style to other promotional releases for this campaign (both vinyl and CD) such as “Tracks from the ‘90s” and “Remixes from the ‘90s”. This promotional release featured a-side material from “The Best of 1990 – 2000” and was the first release to feature “The Hands that Built America”, as it arrived in advance of the album it was promoting.

The release featured a card sleeve in black which holds the actual CD. This sleeve listed the individual song credits. This sleeve fit into a secondary sleeve, which was printed with the cover art and track listing information.

The promotional release started appearing the first week of November in 2002.
