"One" - U2

Promotional Release

Track Listing:

Background Information

“One” was the third single released from U2’s “Achtung Baby”. The single was released to radio in early 1992, and apparently the song did not need a lot of promotional material to be successful.

In the USA a single 5-inch CD was issued, containing one song, the title track. In Japan, some copies of the commercial CD were used for promotion, stickered with a red promotional sticker, and marked sample around the inside of the CD.

In the Phillipines a 7-inch promotional single was issued in conjunction with Dyna Records for use in juke boxes. A juke box promo was also pressed in France and contained a silver moulded label, and was used throughout Europe. In Germany copies of the commercial 7-inch single were used for promotion, accompanied by an information brochure in German.

For more information on the single “One”, including information about the song, how it charted, and the songs included on international releases, please see our discography entry for the “One” single.
