Background Information
In late October 2009, U2 released a remastered, 25th Anniversary edition of “The Unforgettable Fire”. The album was remastered and released on vinyl, on CD, as a two-CD deluxe edition, and as a box set which included 2-CDs as well as a DVD.
As early promotion of this set, a three disc sampler was sent to radio. The CD contained the remastered versions of three of the biggest songs from the album, “Pride (In the Name of Love)”, “The Unforgettable Fire” and “Bad”. The CD was pressed in the UK and was packaged in a card sleeve. The CD was distributed to radio DJs in October 2009.
