"Window in the Skies" - U2
Promotional Release
Track Listing:
- "Window in the Skies" (Single Version) - U2 (04:01)
Background Information
“Window in the Skies” was used as the second and final single to promote the compilation “U218 Singles”. Promotional releases were plentiful, and appeared worldwide.
The initial version for promotion was a CDR release in the USA. The CDR Promo was released in a regular jewel case with a back card that simply had the release information printed on it. These were distributed shortly before the album release, and list “in stores 11.21.06” on the back of the CD.
In the UK a CD was issued, in a slimline case, with full inserts, and artwork on the CD itself. A similar promotional CD was pressed for Mexico. In Australia a unique CD was pressed with different artwork on the CD. It was circulated in a plain plastic wallet sleeve. In Japan a CDR was produced for promotion, with only a front insert, which made use of the cover from the “U218 Singles” album, instead of the “Window in the Skies” artwork.
