Announced on June 18, 2020, the cover mounted CD released with MOJO Magazine issue 321 was a special mix of live songs celebrating the summer festival. Included on the album was U2’s performance of “The Little Things That Give You Away” in Rome on July 15, 2017, as part of The Joshua Tree Tour 2017. The track had been previously released on the 2019 fan club gift, Live Songs of Innocence + Experience but the version here is edited a bit shorter in total length, and the audience noise doesn’t fade in at the start of the track, but instead is mixed with the previous track to provide one constant “concert” experience. Even though the track before is not a U2 track, and wasn’t recorded at the same show.
The interior of the magazine explains, “Only the most fastidious U2 collectors will own this version of the Songs Of Experience highlight: a July 2017 recording from Rome’s Olympic Stadium heard on Live Songs Of iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE, for fan club subscribers, in 2019. Hear Bono in Italian, near the end.”
The CD is free with issue 321 of MOJO and is the second time that U2 has contriubed a track to a MOJO compilation, the last being for Issue 300. (September 2018). For those interested in this CD, MOJO does sell issues online through Great Magazines in the UK, and this newest issue is now available to order, and they do worldwide delivery.
