- U2 were due to play at Red Creek in Rochester, New York. The story says that the band arrived for soundcheck, and the bar’s regulars didn’t like the noise and asked for it to stop. Rather than upset the regulars, the owner asked the band to leave. (1981)
- U2 were scheduled to play Milan at the Forum di Assago, but one of the trucks doesn’t make it from Barcelona and attempts to fly the equipment fail. An hour after doors were due to be opened, the show is officially cancelled, and rescheduled for the 22nd. (1992)
