- The first meeting of the band that would become U2 is held at Larry Mullen’s home, and was attended by Mullen, Adam Clayton, Bono, The Edge, as well as Dik Evans (brother of The Edge), Peter Martin, and Ivan McCormick. (1976)
- U2 are originally scheduled to play today in New Jersey, but the show has to be rescheduled to September 23, 2009 instead due to a change in the schedule of the New York Jets. (2009)
