Adam Clayton of U2’s all-time Favourite Tracks for GQ
Original Story by Aaron J. Sams (2016-09-30)
We’ve finally found a way to access the “GQ Playlist” curated by Adam Clayton on Apple Music. Not sure why it was so complicated to find but we are just now able to tell you what tracks are included. The playlist consists of 84 tracks for a total of play time of 6 hours and 27 minutes. However, when you look at the tracks, a number of the tracks repeat throughout the playlist, most three times, with only three songs at the end not being repeated at all. If you scroll down further we present the play list with these duplicate tracks removed.
The full track list has 30 unique songs. The playlist was announced by British GQ on July 17, 2016, but at that time it was difficult to find these tracks. Their article about the playlist explained “Our Apple Music playlists kick off in July 2016 with a specially-created Desert-Island-Discs-style playlist selected by U2 bass guitarist and GQ Contributing Arts Editor Adam Clayton.”
The Edge has also curated an Apple Music playlist for the release of the #U2ieTour video release. His playlist can be found here.
