Bono’s Bowie Playlist
Original Story by U2Wanderer.Org (2010-11-20)
David Bowie has long been an influence on Bono and U2. With a new special issue of Rolling Stone, Bono lists his 15 favorite Bowie songs. The magazine, called “The Playlist Special” saw one artist pick his favorite songs from another artist. Bono tackled Bowie, which is fitting as U2 have been using Bowie’s “Space Oddity” each night on the current U2360 tour.
The songs by David Bowie that Bono chose are as follows:
- “Space Oddity”
- “The Man Who Sold The World”
- “Changes”
- “Five Years”
- “Life on Mars”
- “Starman”
- “Lady Grinning Soul”
- “The Jean Genie”
- “John, I’m Only Dancing”
- “Young Americans”
- “Fame”
- “Warszawa”
- “Heroes”
- “Ashes to Ashes”
- “Up The Hill Backwards”
The list in the magazine was accompanied by a Playlist on Spotify, curated by Rolling Stone magazine.
