iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Rehearsals Start in Vancouver
Original Story (U2Wanderer.org) by Aaron Sams (2015-05-13)
Last Updated: May 13, 2015
U2 have arrived in Vancouver and will be rehearsing for the new “Innocence and Experience” tour in that city. That tour is set to open on May 14, 2015 at the Rogers Arena. However the rehearsals start first at another venue, the Pacific Coliseum, and won’t be moved to the Rogers Arena on May 10, 2015. During rehearsals Larry Mullen has to return to Ireland for his father’s funeral, and although rehearsals continue, they do so without Larry, using a replacement drummer.
Our article below lists the songs that we know about that were performed during the rehearsals. The information on this report comes from a number of sources including 1981U2ourfan, dabiggestu2fan, Joe Ahorro, bethandbono and U2FanPeter reporting on rehearsals on various sites as well as our own staff, present for the latter rehearsals. We also must mention journalist Bob Mackin who has reported on the rehearsals. Our thanks go out to these users as without them we would not have this information. As the rehearsals were held inside, it is far more difficult to hear the songs than outside rehearsals such as those held in Barcelona for the U2360 performances.
