Joshua Tree Tour 2017: General Sales North America

Original Story by Aaron J. Sams (2017-01-17)

Today the shows for the North American leg of The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 kicked off. Sales started at 10am in each local time zone, unlike Europe where all sales started at the same time.

Second shows have been announced for the following cities:

  • Los Angeles, CA, The Rose Bowl, May 21, 2017
  • Chicago, IL, Soldier Field, June 4, 2017
  • East Rutherford, NJ, MetLife Stadium, June 29, 2017

At this time three additional shows are also listed as sell outs, Toronto Ontario, Philadelphia PA, and Boston MA. At this time no plans for second shows to be announced in any of these venues have been revealed. As always we suggest keeping an eye on for further information, as they will have the most up to date information. There will be presales for these shows which are expected to start tomorrow morning and continue throughout the week until Friday evening. The shows will go on sale to the general public next Monday.

Fans participating in the sales throughout the day reported a fairly easy day of obtaining tickets with the exception of the Rose Bowl show in Los Angeles. That concert seemed to pose the most difficulties.

The first show to be listed as a sell out on was East Rutherford NJ, just 50 minutes after the intial show went on sale. Shortly thereafter Toronto, Philly and Boston were also listed as sell outs, about an hour into the sales. Chicago was listed as a sell out on an hour after tickets went on sale there, and a second show was announced immediately. The Los Angeles show was announced as a sell out an hour after going on sale, and a second show was added immediately to the listings at The second shows for East Rutherford and Chicago were added to at the same time. All other shows continue to be listed as not being sold out on and there are reports of ticket availability at many of these.

We will update this story as any new information comes in. Our wrap up of the European regular sales can be found here.
