Larry Mullen “One of Us” and “Between the Lines” Now Released

As of today, worldwide, Larry Mullen has released two new songs. Both are taken from the film Left Behind and have been heard in that film. Both are solo songs for Larry, working with other artists to contribute music to the film. These singles are available digitally now, on streaming services and digital store fronts.

The two songs are available as standalone singles. Each single includes one track. High resolution versions are available of both tracks at 24-bit / 96kHz.

“One of Us” is credited to Larry Mullen Jr. and David Baron, and features Donna Lewis on vocals. The track runs 02:11. The artwork features a bluish grey photo of Larry Mullen. The direct link to find the single on various services is here. This song appears in the film Left Behind but only one minute of it. The version released here is a longer complete version of the song. In the film the song is heard over the opening of the film, and returns at the end of the film.

Both songs are featured in Left Behind a recent film, co-produced by Larry Mullen. The film debuted at the Woodstock Film Festival on October 18, 2024. The film is directed by Anna Toomey, and documents the struggle of kids with dyslexia in the New York City public school system, and a group of mothers who open New York City’s first public school for dyslexic students. The producers of the film are listed as David Beal, Sian Edwards Beal, Chris Farrell, Larry Mullen Jr., Mari Keiko Gonzalez and Chelsi Bullard.

Larry Mullen’s oldest son has dyslexia. At the film premiere at the Woodstock Film Festival Larry shared, “I showed it to my son and he was—moved. I felt that I needed to do something, just to express his rage at the way that he was treated. And I don’t want to overarch it and make it sound so emotional, but it is a big deal when you have a dyslexic child who has fallen through the cracks and, at 29, is still trying to find their way through it. So, the power of the film is that it gives hope that there are answers. If I had known then what I know now, I would have done things differently. Thankfully, my son has a sense of humor about failure and it does feel like failure.”

The film will have a wider opening on January 17 with a week long showing at QUAD Cinema in New York, and then will receive a wider release after that.
