Redemption Process for 2026 Gift

Original Story by Aaron J. Sams (2026-03-17)

The 2026 fan club gift has been announced. It’s a physical copy of “Days of Ash”, a copy of the Propaganda magazine put together for the EP, and a poster taken from the artwork from the EP.

Please note, the process described below is not time sensitive and the gifts won’t ship for a little bit yet, so you have plenty of time to do this. You may want to wait a day or two until all the bugs are worked out, as others go through the process.

Each year we see reports of the annual gifts from U2Com not being delivered, and we ask the same question, “did you redeem your gift”? Many have not done this process and the gift remains undelivered because the final step wasn’t completed. Yes, there have been gift issues over the years beyond this redemption process, but if you do not complete the redemption process they do not ship. We are just focusing on the redemption process below.

The redeem step was added in past years as an address check before sending physical product. We first saw it in 2017 with the Joshua Tree singles set of vinyl. You are asked to go into your profile on U2.com and “redeem” the gift you have already selected. Sometimes this process happens right after subscription, sometimes it’s a few months later when gifts are physically ready to ship. In this case, the 2026 gift offer was opened on February 7, and the redeem button just started showing up last night.

The 2026 fan club gift can now be redeemed. How do you do that?

1. Log into U2.com. You must be logged in under your account in order to see the redeem button.
2. Click on your name in the top right hand corner once you are logged in.
3. You will see a drop down menu when you click on your name. Choose “Account Info” at this stage.
4. You should now be on your “My Account Page” – on the right you will see your address – make sure that information is correct. On the left you will see your birthday, subscription expiry date, a button to renew, a sign in button, and then below it you will see the “Redeem” button.
5. Click on the redeem button after reviewing your address.
6. This will bring you to an invoice screen, which will have a price displayed, but it should be crossed out and a zero total should be displayed. Review this page and then complete the order. You are not charged for the redeem process. But it does generate the shipping request in the system on the other end, notifying them that your address is correct and you want the gift shipped.
7. You’ll get a confirmation screen with an invoice number that is different from your original order number. It’s a good idea to write this one down in case there are any issues later in life in regards to your gift.

Not seeing the redeem button?

The redeem button isn’t showing up on everyone’s account just yet. It seems to be a slower roll out and may take some time to get set up for everyone. Give it a day or two before worrying, but if you don’t see anything by the start of next week it would be good to reach out to the moderators via Zootopia at U2.com to let them know that you aren’t seeing it.

One thing to check first though? Did you resubscribe and choose the 2026 gift? The 2026 gift was opened as a choice on February 7, so if you subscribed before that point you may have chosen another gift. And if you haven’t yet re-subscribed since that date, i.e. perhaps your renewal date is later in the year, you won’t have the button yet, and will only see it after you do re-subscribe.

Still seeing the option to redeem after going through the process?

You may have to log out of your account to see the changes applied when you log back in. If you have redeemed your gift successfully you should now see the gift listed as being “In Progress” where the redeem button was. You should also receive an email confirmation that you have successfully completed the process which reads “Subscription Order Confirmation”.

Would be helpful if you could spread the word about the process. It seems that fans still are unaware that this happens. U2.com usually send out email notifications as well, so expect to see a reminder from them closer to when these are ready to start shipping.
