Over the next few weeks we expect a lot of information about the film Sing 2, the associated soundtrack which will feature U2, and other things related to the film. We’ll try to keep this page updated, and will let you know on social media when we make any updates.

Premieres

North American Premiere: AFI, TCL Chinese Theatre, Los Angeles, November 14, 2021
European Premiere: Torino Film Festival, November 26, 2021

U2 Involvement

  • U2 will have an original song in the film.
  • “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” will be performed by Scarlett Johannson in the film
  • Bono appears in a speaking / singing role as Clay Calloway, a retired rock star (a lion) in English versions of the film.
  • The Clay Calloway character will sing a song with Scarlett Johannson’s character Ash. (This may be “ISHFWILF” but song has not yet been confirmed)
  • Clay Calloway’s voice will be performed by other musicians in non-English versions of the film.

The first toys will be available at retail on November 1, 2021. Bono’s character Clay Calloway does not appear in the initial wave of toys, but will likely appear in a second wave to be released closer to Christmas. Promotional images from Tomy show a Clay Calloway “Stage Sparkle” figure. These figures light up, and stages and microphones can be swapped between characters. Each are 3-inches tall.
