SPOILERS: U2eiTOUR Rehearsal Day Three in Tulsa: April 30, 2018

Some fans wish to remain spoiler free, and while that’s hard these days, let’s please refrain from sharing or discussing any of this publicly. This piece reflects spoilers from the last two rehearsals in Tulsa as well as spoilers not yet revealed from Laval including songs and stage information.

April 30 was the band’s third day rehearsing in Tulsa Oklahoma, ahead of the start of their new tour, the eXPERIENCE and iNNOCENCE tour. The band arrived early in the day, and no members of the band stopped to greet fans ahead of the show. However, Adam Clayton did roll down his window and waved to fans gathered. The band would also later send out pizzas to fans who were waiting in the GA line up.

We are told that last night was likely the last rehearsal for the tour, and that tonight will be a day off. This is similar to the past two tours where the band would take the day off prior to the opening show. This was done for both The Joshua Tree Tour and the iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour.

At this time we are told that the band did a full walk through of the set. We will have the full song list later in the day, but it is reported that the band did do “Acrobat” yesterday, following “Desire” for those wondering where it may be fitting into the set list. Again, we’ll post the full song list later when available. We know everyone is waiting to see whether or not it makes the final set, and it does appear that it was rehearsed last night.

Rehearsals did continue at this point and the last cars left the venue at 3am so things went late last night. We will update with a full rehearsal list when we can. At this point we have only confirmed the above earlier portion of the rehearsals.

It also looks as if “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me” although it appeared to be practiced live in Montreal, is now a pre-recorded piece, and it sounds like it may have been recorded by Gavin Friday and Bono. The piece is being used as an intermission piece similar to what was done on the iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour. On that tour the band initially used a mash up of 70s music for the intermission, before transitioning to a piece where an aging Johnny Cash was seen singing “The Wanderer” and finally settling on Gavin Friday’s version of “The Fly” mixed with some Bono vocals. At least during one appearance, in Glasgow, it appears that Bono was singing live with the track.
