The Ground Beneath Her Feet and Other Promotion

Original Story by Aaron J. Sams (2020-10-14)

U2 releases All That You Can’t Leave Behind for the album’s 20th anniversary on October 30, 2020. Twenty years exactly after the intiial release on October 30, 2000. The album will be released in a variety of formats including box sets, vinyl, digital and CD.

The band has been releasing a lot of material from the album for promotion. We’re collecting together everything here for you in case you have missed anything…

Audio Files

The release is an audio only release, and some of the tracks have been made available already. At digital store fronts and streaming services the following tracks are available:

  • “Stuck in a Moment” (Acoustic) [Sep. 10, 2020]
  • “Levitate” [Sep. 25, 2020]
  • “Stateless” [Sep. 25, 2020]
  • “Beautiful Day” (Live from Boston) [Oct. 9, 2020]
  • “Stay (Faraway, So Close!)” (Live from Boston) [Oct. 9, 2020]

Of special note – if you view some of these tracks on Spotify they come with fun animated videos to accompany the songs. And these work now even if you are looking at the older version of All That You Can’t Leave Behind.

U2 are also in the midst of revamping their YouTube account, a process which started some months ago. And a number of the new videos being released in high definition quality have related to this new release of All That You Can’t Leave Behind including videos from the original album, making of videos, and some newly created lyric videos.

Expect to see videos for “Elevation,” as well as alternate videos for “Stuck in a Moment” and “Walk On” over the next few weeks and perhaps a few more offerings from the Boston performance as well. We will be updating as new releases happen on our social media accounts at Twitter and Facebook. We will update the lists here as more content is posted.

Also don’t miss our social media where we’ve posted news about a special upcoming issue of Hot Press Magazine, celebrating 40 years since the release of Boy and 20 years since the release of All That You Can’t Leave Behind. The Irish Postal service An Post are also issuing 5 stamps celebrating U2’s long career which we have posted on our social media.
