U2 star Larry Mullen Jr took a moment during the Irish rockers’ successful night at the Grammy Awards last night (13FEB05) to apologise again to fans who missed out on ticket sales for their upcoming world tour shows.

The drummer has already sent press apologies to hundreds of disappointed followers who were unable to get online to order pre-sale tickets for the rock group’s upcoming concerts due to an online problem.
And he took a moment during U2’s Best Rock Performance acceptance speech at the Grammys to apologise again.

He said, “Due to circumstances beyond our control a lot of our long-suffering fans ended up queuing overnight and didn’t get tickets and I’d just like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the band, to apologise to them.”
