U2 Updates: Nov. 3, 2021
Original Story (2021-11-03)
There’s been lots of news today if you’ve been following on social media.
For those who don’t (why not?) here’s a wrap up of the major bits from today.
Video Upgrades. Two videos got the upgrade treatment in the last day. “Breathe” from the Somerville MA performance in 2009 promoting the new album has been upgraded at 1080 on YouTube. And “I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight” has also been upgraded on YouTube, at a stunning 4K resolution. Looks great.
Bono spoke to nurses gathered for the International Council of Nurses (ICN) Congress 2021. The Congress runs from November 2 – November 4. He appeared via video. The video can be seen below. Many thanks to Andrew for sharing the video with us.
Guitar World have revealed the cover to the latest issue of the magazine. The issue expected this week in shops will feature The Edge, and will feature a new interview where he talks about the anniversaries for October (40 years) and Achtung Baby (30 years.)

Jo Whiley will be sitting down and talking to Bono and The Edge about the 30th anniversary of Achtung Baby as well. That conversation will take place on her show on BBC Radio 2 on November 18, 2021.
Jo will also have the first play of the new U2 song, “Your Song Saved My Life” on her show tonight. Initially it was due to be played last night, but a last minute delay occured, and she announced she would be playing it today instead. She goes on the air at 7pm with her Shiny Happy Playlist, followed by her main show at 7:30pm (London time, which is about 3pm Eastern time for her playlist show). You can stream her show here. Other radio stations are advertising that they’ll be playing the song from 7:30pm tonight (London time). We expect the song will be made available to streaming platforms and other storefronts at some point after those plays. No, we cannot confirm when it will be released at this time.
The rest of the news is on the film front. In People Magazine a new feature reveals new artwork being used for promotion of the film. In once we see Bono on stage, with the shadow of his character, Clay Calloway. In another we see a new image of Bono seated with Clay, and the other characters and voice actors from the film.
