U2Com Subscription Questions

Original Story by Aaron J. Sams (2026-01-31)

We’re getting a number of messages asking what fans should do in regards to renewing for U2.com as the 2026 gift offer has not gone live. If you are in this situation, we offer what help we can below. But as always, any information published on U2.com regarding subscription offers should be considered correct and current over any information found below.

Many people will be receiving notifications today by email that say “you have entered the final 30 Days of your U2.com subscription”. Those who joined when the online service launched in 2005, and have maintained membership since that time, have subscriptions that mostly come due around the start of March. This means that the reminders to renew have gone out to a good percentage of the fan base.

As has been the case in the past, U2.com does not have a new subscription offer ready to go for 2026. If you log onto the subscription site the choices available are the ones for the 2025 year. Likewise the emails being sent out asking people to renew only refer to the current subscription offers:

  • “Love and Peace or Else” U2.com hoodie (2025 gift)
  • “U2: The Complete Lyrics” Volume 2 1991-2024 (Which was the 2024 gift)
  • “U2: The Complete Lyrics” Volume 1 1979-1988 (Which was the 2023 gift)

Also available is a deluxe option which includes both lyric books. There is no offer for a generic “to be announced later” gift for the 2026 subscription on the subscription site.

We’ve already had close to a dozen inquiries asking our advice on what to do today, so many are seeing the same email today.

We do not know what the gift will be. Our advice in this case is the same as always. Set a calendar alarm for a few days before your subscription expires, and wait as long as you can before resubscribing, the gift should be announced in the next couple of weeks. Don’t go past the expiry date, or you will face a larger charge to resubscribe once it has expired.

This has happened a number of times in the past and is usually resolved by mid-February, either by the announcement of a gift, or the opening of a generic “upcoming gift” that is later announced. Last year for instance, fans were given the option to subscribe for an unknown gift on February 16, 2025. The gift, the hoodie, was announced a few months later. We expect they will do something similar this year.

Over the last few years this is when the subscription offer has opened each year:

  • 2020: Subscriptions opened and gift announced on January 24, 2020
  • 2021: Subscriptions opened and gift announced on December 22, 2020
  • 2022: Subscriptions opened and gift announced on January 13, 2022
  • 2023: Subscriptions opened February 12, 2023, gift announced April 13, 2023
  • 2024: Subscriptions opened February 8, 2024, gift had been announced April 13, 2023
  • 2025: Subscriptions opened February 16, 2025, gift announced June 4, 2023

For those who do reach an expiry date before a gift is announced, you should reach out to them and ask direction using the help page in the links below.

Here are some useful links to review in relation to this:

  • U2.com’s Subscription Page (Note you see different pricing if you are logged in vs not logged in.)
  • U2.com’s Help Page (Including a form to contact the site, and answers to frequent questions.)
  • U2.com Profile Page (If you are logged in you can see your subscription details on the left.)
  • Would also suggest keeping an eye on U2comZooMods on Twitter / X as they often provide current info. They usually also post information in the Zootopia forums. (Update: They’ve also set up a topic here to discuss the 2026 gift.)

We are not affiliated with the band, and do not work for U2.com, and cannot offer any assistance with subscription issues, past or present. You need to use the help page above to get assistance for any issues you may have. If you are interested in more information on the fan club releases from the past, we do maintain a full list here in the U2 discography.
