Show Details:

U2 played at Mount Temple one Friday evening in February. The band would have performed as the Hype. A number of songs were performed including “Street Mission,” “The Fool,” their own song titled “What’s Going On” and covers of “2, 4, 6, 8 Motorway,” “Anarchy in the UK” and “Dancing in the Moonlight”.

In U2 by U2 Larry Mullen shares, ““We played a gig during a break at a school disco, in the basement of the old school building. It used to get really hot and sweaty down there, and the walls would drip with condensation. As we were playing, The Edge decided to run up the wall. He slipped and fell flat on his arse. I wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry.”

The band are supported by Frankie Corpse and the Undertakers, a band made up by former member of the band Ivan McCormick, with his brother Neil, and Frank Kearns who would go on to form Cactus World News. All are students at Mount Temple as well.
