Show Details:

The band played in the Howth Community Centre under the name “The Hype”. Photographer Patrick Brocklebank was in attendance at this show and the date is mentioned in his diary. U2 is supported by the Virgin Prunes at this show. Walter Hegarty who booked the band mentioned that he had booked the band on two occasions, and the Virgin Prunes had played on the second. The shows started at 9pm and were held on Friday nights. The band played a mix of their own material and covers including one by the Sex Pistols. What U2 played is unknown.
