U2 perform on <em>Our Times</em> on RTÉ, their second television appearance.

Show Details:

U2 appear on the television show Our Times on RTÉ Television. The band perform their song “The Fool” in studio. The band were identified by Ian Wilson who was working on the show, and he recommended to his producer that they should get the band in to record a piece.

The date the performance was filmed is unknown but it aired on November 13, 1978 and was repeated November 27, 1978. The performance was likely recorded only a few days before the performance aired initially.

Some sources have confused the date of this performance with U2’s first performance on the RTÉ in March 1978. That performance, however, was for a different show, Young Lines.
