This show wasn’t part of the original announced tour dates for the “Come Out to Play” tour, and appears to have been added later. The show costs £2.50 and includes supper in the price. U2 headline the show, with K.F. Super Disco (DJ) warming up the crowd ahead of the show. Tickets were sold at Star Records and Fitzgerald’s Music Centre on O’Connell Street as well as at the Student Union Office at the Regional College in Ballinode.

The concert was organized by the Students Union Sligo, and the ad for the event said “proudly present a pre-St. Patrick’s Week-end Mid-Term Break Dance – the fabulous U2. Listen to their big hit record: ‘Let’s come out to play another day’”
