The band head to Birmingham for the next stop promoting the “11 O’Clock Tick Tock” single in the UK. They are joined by Fashiøn who have been doing a number of shows with the band. As Fashiøn are playing in their hometown, U2 opens this show, and Fashiøn takes the headlining slot tonight.
Like the previous show, there’s a bus strike in Birmingham tonight, and many show up late. When U2 take the stage about 30 people are said to be at the venue.
In U2 Live it is shared, “To establish contact, Bono jumps into the crowd and is followed by Edge and Adam, who move beyond the reach of their guitar cables. The plugs shoot out, leaving only Bono and Larry audible until they get it together.
