Show Details:

U2 played this show in Wollaston, England at a small venue known as the Nag’s Head. Bono dressed in black from head to toe, and The Edge in a long sleeved white shirt and purple pants. As was a regular occurrence in these early shows, U2 struggled to get the audience to pay attention and at this show Bono was actively attempting to recruit listeners to come in to join the audience at this show. The set list of the show is unknown. Admission was said to be £0.50 for this show.

The venue is well known for being near the home of John Peel. The BBC DJ would often play sets at this pub free of charge. In 1992, speaking with fans, Paul McGuinness confirmed that the reason U2 had played the small venue, was in hopes that Peel would take in their set, and that they would get some notice because of it. He did not.
