Show Details:

Not much is known about this show. U2 appear with local band Jonesin’ at the Filmore, located at 300 S. Seventeenth Street. The cover is $5 for the show and the show starts at 9 pm. A poster from the show has been displayed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland as part of the permanent U2 display. The poster is simple, black and white with U2 identified as “U-2” and Jonesin’ identified as the opening act, accompanied by a Shiela Rock photograph of U2 taken in Dublin.

The set list below is from a set list from the show, and not from a recording. Only the songs in the main set list appear on the printed set list, and the encore is from memory. “Cry” was listed on the set list for the main portion of the show, so appears in the snippet list below.

The venue is spelled “Filmore” on both newspaper adverts and on the show poster. Recollections of the venue say the capacity was between 250 – 400 people. The venue was set up with chairs for the U2 performance which were quickly discarded as people moved to stand and dance.
