Show Details:

U2 perform at a Casino in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, called “Club Casino.” The venue at the time was a 1600 seated venue, with the audience seated around communal tables in a Vegas-style showroom. The band were booked by Jim Goodwin, who claims he paid $2000 for the U2 show. The show is opened by a band from Boston, The Stompers. Boston is just an hour away by car. Admission for the show was $5.

The Edge’s girlfriend Aislinn is at the show in Hampton Beach, as is U2’s manager Paul McGuinness. The band sound checked a handful of songs in the venue ahead of the show and a small audience was present for that. During the show, Bono’s jacket is misplaced, and he tells the crowd that if anyone finds it they can keep the jacket, he just wants the money that is in it. The band play a number of songs during the main set and repeat them at the encore, including “I Will Follow” but other tracks are not confirmed.
