Show Details:

The Pavilion was an multi-use arts centre in Hemel Hempstead. U2 played here with The Comsat Angels. It was the last night of U2’s UK tour which had started on October 1. After tonight the band will move on to shows in Europe. At the time of U2’s show, the venue was going by the name Hemel Hempstead Pavilion, but was referred to locally as just The Pavilion. The show was promoted by Straight Music, and the show was listed as having a 7:45pm start time.

Once again this evening “I Threw A Brick Through A Window” and “Rejoice” have changed places from where they have been played all along on this tour. “The Electric Co.” is performed with “Cry” and “Send in the Clowns.” The crowd is rowdy, and get out of hand, leaving Bono to try to calm them down during “I Threw a Brick Through A Window,” stopping the song to address the audience before the band is allowed to continue.

The next show will see U2 leave for Europe, they will return to the UK for two shows at the Lyceum Ballroom just before Christmas.
