Bono makes an appearance at the Glide Memorial Church, singing “Stand By Me”.

Show Details:

Sunday morning on tour, and Bono slips away from the craziness of Vertigo, to attend a sermon at the Glide Memorial Church. Bono spoke and called Reverend Williams, “The Pope of San Francisco” and claimed he always made it a point to visit Glide anytime he was in the Bay area. He also shared some memories of meeting the Pope, and giving him his sunglasses, prior to leading the band, choir and congregation in singing “Stand By Me”. As Bono often does, he made a few lyrics up to be specific to San Francisco for this performance.
