Show Details:

Bono performs with Wyclef Jean at the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights Awards Ceremony, held at the Chelsea Piers in New York City. Bono and Wyclef Jean were the joint recipients of the 2009 “Ripple of Hope Award” for their work in human rights.

Bono and Wyclef performed together at the end of the night after the award ceremony. They performed a version of “Redemption Song”, originally by Bob Marley. Wyclef Jean would also perform his own song “Carnival”.

The award itself was started in 2007 as part of the ongoing Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award. The award is named after Kennedy’s “ripple of hope” speech given in 1966.

Bono’s work with ONE and (RED) are highlighted in his biography on the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights website.
