Show Details:

Sean Penn celebrated his birthday in Dublin, and spent most of the day with Bono, as well as Penn’s children Hopper and Dylan. Penn is in Ireland to film This Must Be the Place and Bono’s daughter Eve also has a role in the film. He was seen early in the day having lunch at the Merrion hotel with Bono, and then later in the day visited O’Donoghue’s pub on Dublin’s Merrion Row. During the visit to O’Donoghue’s Bono and Penn joined musicians Finbar Furey and Barney McKenna in a sing along. Those gathered were singing Ronnie Drew classics, and Bono joined his friend Simon Carmody in singing a song they wrote for Ronnie Dew to perform, “Drinkin’ In the Day”. The party later moved on to La Stampa on Dawson Street, where Guggi joined the crowd. Bono’s daughter Eve, US Congressman Dennis Kuchinich, and Kris Kristofferson were among the guests at the festivities. Penn’s actual birthday is August 17.
