Show Details:

The Edge and Morleigh Steinberg are honoured at the Angel Ball Gala held by Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation. The event is held at Cipriani Restaurant Wall Street in New York City. The Foundation funds research into therapeutic approaches for patients with leukemia and lymphoma. The Ball has been held since 1999.

The even starts with cocktails and a silent auction at 6:30pm, followed by a dinner, live auction and show starting at 7:30pm. Along with The Edge and Morleigh, the other honorees at the evening are Bernd Beetz of Coty Inc., and Sean Parker of the Founder’s Fund.

The event was attended by a number of celebrities including Ivana Trump, Josh Groban, Sean Parker (co-founder of Napster), Clive Davis, Vera Wang, Kim Kardashian, Rosie Perez, Carmindy, and NeYo. Denise Rich was the host for the evening.

Sam Moore performs in the evening portion of the evening, and The Edge joins him for the performance adding vocals on “Stand by Me”, and later borrowing a guitar and performing “Soul Man”, with comedian Chris Tucker also joining in on the performance. Other performances for the evening included Josh Groban, singer Shontelle, and Ne Yo.

Two of the prizes were donated by The Edge, backstage tours of a U2 concert with the guitarist. The evening raised $3.4 Million for cancer research.
