Show Details:
U2 perform the second of two shows in Manchester tonight, and the setlist is very similar to the first, however “The Fly” has now been moved earlier in the set, to follow “Zoo Station”. “All Because of You” is played tonight taking the spot that “Gloria” held last night. “Red Flag Day” was not played at either of the shows in Manchester.
Bono speaks extensively about Manchester, and especially the Manchester musical scene tonight, from MacPhisto speaking about “Blue Mondays” to Bono dropping the names of several musical acts including former U2 producer Martin Hannett. For “13 (There is a Light)” Bono stops to dedicate the song to the kids of Dennis Sheehan, who are at the show tonight.
The flag tonight, like last night, features a U2 flag in the center of one of the stars, with a heart drawn around the star. Additional camera equipment is in place tonight to film some elements of the production, and additional lighting has been seen, and some changes in the video footage, including some references to Berlin’s famous subway system. The crew is making preparations for the filming of the final show in Berlin.
After tonight only nine concerts remain on the #U2eiTour, with shows being held in London next, then Belfast, Dublin for four shows, and then a final return to Berlin to make up the show that was cut short early in the tour.
