Show Details:

As the tour winds to an end, U2 start a trek through three countries they have never played before, playing in South Korea tonight. They are playing one show in the country.

When the Waterboys track “The Whole of the Moon” fails to play, U2 take the stage without music, exclaiming they will make their own.

Early on a change is made on stage. Edge calls for “Bad” to be skipped even though it is on set lists for the evening. The band play “Desire” tonight, a song that to date has only shown up at the second show in any city. “Stand By Me” appears as a snippet during the show after “I Still Haven’t Found” with Bono starting to sing it but the rest of the band soon comes in as well.

The song is heavy on Beatles references as a result of it being the anniversary of John Lennon’s death. “She Loves Me” and “Love Me Do” appear in “Vertigo” tonight. And during “Pride” he mentions that it had happened 39 years ago tonight, on this date.

Korean appears on the screens in a number of places tonight, including for the chorus of “Love is Bigger Than Anything in its Way”, in the poetry that is shown before the screens, and in the women shown during “Ultra Violet.” In that piece, women usually only show up in one square each night, but tonight some faces showed up multiple times.

The show T-shirt for Seoul is the moon T-shirt.
