For the 50th anniversary of the Bloody Sunday massacre during The Troubles in Ireland, Bono and the Edge perform an acoustic version of the song. The massacre, which happened January 30, 1972 saw British soldiers shoot 26 unarmed civilians during a protest march in the Bogside area of Derry, Northern Ireland. It is not known where the song is performed, or if it was recorded on this day. But it was first shared on U2’s social media channels on this day.
