Bono appears on the Graham Norton show to promote his new memoir, Surrender. Other guests on the show include Taylor Swift, Eddie Redmayne, Alex Scott and Lady Blackbird.

Although not booked to perform, Bono does manage to work in a song. Speaking about meeting Frank Sinatra, Bono shares that he likes tough guys. He also speaks about writing a song, “Two Shots of Happy, One Shot of Sad” for Sinatra, but shares Sinatra had passed away before it could be recorded. Bono then breaks into a short performance of the song.

During the discussion, Bono speaks about his book but also shares that the band “want to make a really unreasonable guitar record, real proper rock ‘n’ roll”.

The episode was taped on October 27 in front of a studio audience, and will air on October 28.
