Set List of Show:
Snippets of Other Songs Performed by Bono:
This show is one of three additional shows announced for the Beacon Theatre in New York as part of the second leg of Bono’s “Stories of Surrender” tour, added on to the initial eight dates announced. This new date was announced on January 5, 2022. Like the first leg of the tour, Yondr pouches will be in use to secure mobile phone and smart watches during the event, and will be unlocked at the end of the event.
Tickets go on sale Monday January 9, at 10am local time. Ticket prices for the previous shows started at $105 (upper balcony) including fees, and went to $441 (orchestra). (Tickets were also available at $162 for the loge and lower balcony and $313 for the loge and orchestra starting around row R and some seats to the side.) However, most tickets are unavailable at these prices as everything but the back balcony is being sold using Platinum pricing. Tickets do not include a copy of the book. There is a four (4) ticket limit per person, across all Bono events at the Beacon Theatre. There is no general presale for U2.Com subscribers, however a note mentions that random draws will be held to make presales accessible to those who have not previously used their code.
The Beacon Theatre has a capacity of 2894 people, and it was at the Beacon Theatre that Bono first kicked off his “Stories of Surrender“ tour back in November 2023. The theatre, located on the Upper West Side of New York opened in 1929. It was originally built as a movie theatre, and these days is used as an entertainment venue by Madison Square Garden Entertainment. The theatre is a New York City interior landmark and is also on the National Register of Historic Places. The Beacon makes use of a new audio system, Sphere Immersive Sound (yes, the same Sphere as Las Vegas) to provide state-of-the-art sound to each seat in the venue.
This second leg of dates has been rumoured since the start of the first leg of shows, these newly announced dates were part of initial plans, and Bono’s team has access to the theatre until May 12.
