Show Details:

Hard to believe we’re 20% through this run of shows, but rumours are picking up that there may be additional shows added next year when Larry Mullen can return to the band, although at this point nothing has been scheduled, and in a new interview with Wired Magazine The Edge also said they are contemplating a new tour instead of more dates at Sphere.

Tonight the set list is the same as the previous night, with the exception of “Angel of Harlem” which was not played. The version of “MLK” tonight was longer and quite beautiful. Bono’s voice appears strong and he’s really enjoying his time on stage.

Although the shows have generally lacked any political commentary to date, that came to an end tonight. A visibly angry Bono spoke about the Supernova Sukkot music festival in Israel, attacked by Hamas earlier in the week. According to witnesses, rocket attacks were followed by close-range gunfire and sniper shots from dozens of terrorists invading the festival grounds. “Sing for our brothers and sisters, who they themselves were singing at the Supernova Sukkot festival in Israel. We sing for those people, our people, our kind of people, music people, playful experimental people, our kind of people. We sing for them.

Later Bono continued, “in light of what’s happened in Israel and Gaza, a song about non-violence seems somewhat ridiculous, even laughable, but our prayers have always been for peace and non-violence. But our hearts, and our anger, you know where that’s pointed. So sing with us, for those beautiful kids at that music festival.”

Bono also changed one of the lines in “Pride” to reference the events, singing, “Early morning, October 7, the sun is rising in the desert sky. Stars of David, they took your life but they could not take your pride.”

Later in the show Bono thanks Gavin Friday for helping to save “With or Without You” and he also wishes him a happy birthday.

“Zoo Station” opened with the “Lost You” piece, the lyrics Bono used during Zoo TV to open the song. “Even Better than the Real Thing” has a snippet of Joy Division’s “Transmission” tonight. “Mysterious Ways” ends with “I Feel Love”, and “Love Me Tender” is an extended segue between “One” and “Until the End of the World”, the latter of which also includes “Two Tribes” tonight. “Many Rivers to Cross” finishes “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and “Viva Las Vegas” comes in at the end of “Viva Las Vegas”. In the encore “My Way” finishes “Elevation”, “Moment of Surrender” opens “Streets” which also includes “All You Need is Love”. “What A Wonderful World” comes in at the end of the show.

Spotted in the audience was singer Brandi Carlile.

Tickets range from $140.13 – $501.35 at four different price points for seats. A General Admission floor will be priced at $267.88, and at each show there will be a (RED) Zone riser at the back of the GA area which will hold 50 people, priced at $600.00. A presale opportunity via U2.com opened on April 24, 2023 with the announcement.
