Bono and Edge pop in via video to celebrate the retirement of longtime associate, Bob Koch.

Show Details:

Bob Koch was a long time associate of U2’s and acted as tour accountant / business manager on behalf of Live Nation for a number of U2’s tours. Bob and his wife Gretchen were both well known by U2. On the event of his retirement in 2025, U2 contributed videos to the event, with Adam Clayton speaking in one, and then a second which featured Bono and The Edge singing “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head”. They are recorded live in a garden, with rain falling, and umbrellas out. The words are altered to match the rain with Bono singing at one point wishes that the “Dublin sun comes out like Delaware”.

The performance by Bono and The Edge was filmed earlier in the day in Dublin. Koch’s retirement party was held in Wilmington, Delaware at a venue called The Queen, a party at which the U2 tribute band, The Unforgettable Fire performed.
