Video Information

In 2025, U2 made a series of lyric videos available for songs that had not previously been widely released as singles. These videos were available via YouTube, and also made available to purchase / stream via other digital platforms. The second video was a video for U2’s “Bad”, which uses the studio version of the song.

The video uses lyrics, and photos from the original era, and also includes footage of a live performance of the song taken from the 2001 tour film, shot in Boston.

The lyric video was released on the 40th anniversary of the release of the “Wide Awake in America” EP. That EP had featured the song, but it was a live version of the song, and not the one used for this lyric video.
