Video Information

In 2025, U2 made a series of lyric videos available for songs that had not previously been widely released as singles. These videos were made available via YouTube, but were also made available to purchase / stream on other services such as Apple Music. The video for “Landlady” was the sixth video in the series, and uses the album mix of the song.

The video itself is made up from the lyrics of the song and a photo of Bono’s wife Ali. It is a simple video. The photograph of Ali was also used for the cover artwork for the “Song for Someone“ promotional release in 2015. Both songs were written with Ali in mind.

“Landlady” was never released as a commercial single, however on October 19, 2018 the song was released as a promotional single in Italy. No video was released at that time.
